June 19th – Every cloud…
Looking back at life
June 17th – Socially distanced coffee mornings
Today’s picture features our neighbours Jules & Phil, and our drive guests Sarah & Clive. We have been having a morning natter for a while now, breaking the monotony of social isolation. Everyone brings their own drinks and stays 2m apart to stay within the guidelines. The subject matter varies greatly, depending on what’s happeningContinue reading “June 17th – Socially distanced coffee mornings”
June 16th – Dark skies
Today’s picture was taken whilst walking the woofers. The contrast between the bright skies behind me and the storm clouds ahead was stark. I have always loved the dark blue skies of a storm, I’m not sure why. Thankfully we didn’t get wet and the storm moved away from us.
June 14th – Invaders
So I shifted our motorhome on to the drive for a few minutes to give it a clean, but when I looked around these 2 had parked their MoHo and made themselves at home!!! OK, so a little exaggeration…… Our dear friends Clive and Sarah found themselves stranded due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Like us,Continue reading “June 14th – Invaders”
June 10th – Busy day
Lots of exercise today, and we were very lucky with the weather. Today’s photo was taken this morning when we set off on a 9km socially distanced walk with the dogs and 4 friends from home. We are very fortunate to live where we do with so many fantastic walks around. If you want toContinue reading “June 10th – Busy day”
June 1st – Sundowner
Another fabulous day in the UK, with lovely sunshine, and a great game of golf with great friends. I got home from golf and shared a BBQ with our drive guests Clive and Sarah. Afterwards, we headed up to the back of our garden to watch the sun go down on a fab day, withContinue reading “June 1st – Sundowner”
May 29th – Dinner party
Just over a week ago two dear friends arrived in their motorhome. Clive and Sarah rented out their house to go on a 12 month trip around Europe in their motorhome. Like many others, this was severely disrupted by Covid-19 and they needed to make a dash back to the UK, but had no homeContinue reading “May 29th – Dinner party”
May 27th – Relationships during lockdown….
How are you coping? Living in close proximity to loved ones for an extended period, with no interactions with others can really test relationships In order to survive I believe it takes understanding, empathy, humour, and compromise. I normally drive my wife up the wall, but on this occasion she couldn’t find a wall soContinue reading “May 27th – Relationships during lockdown….”
May 20th – So close
Thankfully golf courses are back open with covid precautions to help prevent the spread. I play at Orchardleigh, and the depth of holes have been reduced, and flags are not allowed to be removed. Players must also stay 2 meters away from each other. It is great to be back out playing again, especially onContinue reading “May 20th – So close”
